Amsterdam - Robin Brand Thompson, 48, passed away unexpectedly on Friday January 5, 2024 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Amsterdam.
She was born in Glens Falls, NY on March 10,1975, a daughter of the late Donald C. and Dolores A. Case Brand. She was a lifelong area resident and was a graduate of Amsterdam High School. Robin went on to study at Fulton-Montgomery Community College receiving her Associate’s Degree in Business Administration.
Robin was currently employed by the law firm of Sullivan, Keenan and Oliver in Albany NY as a Billing Officer.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, bowling and pool leagues. She was also an avid reader of obituaries. She loved her job at the law firm of many years. Her love for her daughter Abby was second to none. She was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan. The sight of sunflowers always made her smile.
She is survived by her husband William Thompson and her loving daughter Abigail Kathleen Thompson of Amsterdam. Her two brothers, Chris (Cherise) Brand of Broadalbin, NY and Patrick (Sandy) Brand of Rotterdam, NY. Sharon Waldynski and her daughters Theresa and Melissa. Her God Mother Aunt Nancy Case, Michael (Amiee) Brand along with her nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday January 15, 2024 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Jendrzejczak Funeral Home, 200 Church St., Amsterdam, NY. The family is being assisted by Funeral Directors, Martin J. Hughes, George E. Jendrzejczak and Peter J. Rose of the Jendrzejczak Funeral Home.
