Georgia- Gale Carpenter Emmett, died after a short illness on January 1, 2024, with her husband by her side.
She was born on January 11, 1949, the daughter of William and Edythe (Underwood) Carpenter, who predeceased her. She was also predeceased by her nephew, Garrett Ward and brother-in-law, Paul Ward.
Gale was originally from Broadalbin, NY and graduated from Broadalbin HS in 1967. She attended SUNY Oswego and subsequently graduated from Florida Atlantic University in Fort Lauderdale, FL. She worked mainly in Atlanta, GA for Delta Airlines from 1972 until her retirement in 2001.
Gale was an avid reader and loved to travel and spend time with friends and her kitties.
She is survived by her husband, whom she married in June, 2023, her sisters, Carol (Vincent) Carelli and Janet Ward, nephews, Jeffrey Fonda, Christopher Carelli, and Mark Ward, niece, Melissa Carelli, and several cousins and grand-nieces and nephews.
As per Gale’s wishes, no funeral services will be held and her ashes will be scattered over the mountains of Georgia in a beautiful place she visited often with dear friends.
